5401 North has easy access to education. Riverbend Elementary and Riverbend Middle School (opening in 2017) are located within the community. The popular and expanding Wake Tech Community College is adjacent to 5401 North and offers unique continuing education classes as well as many specialty two year degrees. We also will offer long distance learning with webcams in our greenhouses.

Riverbend Middle School
In 2013 the Wake County Board of Education approved the purchase of 29 acres for a public middle school at 5401 North. The new River Bend Middle School will provide an extraordinary educational environment. The staff and faculty will challenge our middle school students with a curriculum rich in math, science and critical thinking skills that help define the research triangle. A full slate of extra-curricular and athletics programs will round out the middle school education and provide a strong foundation for a successful high school experience. The school will be open in 2017.

Adjacent to 5401 North is the Northern Campus of Wake Technical Community College. Like the rest of the development, the Northern Wake Campus' classrooms are smart and connected giving students instant online access to the world. The campus continues to grow fueled by the $200 million bond approval in 2012. The Campus also provides a full-service library, Individualized Learning Center, and career and personal counseling.
